Good morning fbf and Happy Belated Thanksgiving. I did not get a chance to post that day because my weakened immune system couldnt fight off the URI bugs my precious baby girl had and I ended up with the worst sinus, ear, and upper respiratory infection I think Ive ever had in my entire life. My big girl got to come home on a 3 day pass and I only got one descent day with her. I spent Thanksgiving morning in the minor med and had to go to my PCP on Monday because I still wasnt any better. I am happy to say that Im getting better and finally have some relief. With that being said I was really angry that Thanksgiving did not go the way I wanted. My aunt, uncle, and cousin came from St.Louis to visit, celebrate, and give thanks to God that I am winning my battle with breast cancer and I was ill and not able to enjoy it like I wanted to. I got really wrapped up in that all weekend until I read a post from my dear step - sister Jennifer H. Thomas. She and her husband just recently experienced a tremendous loss. In fact it was just 2 days before I had my surgery. In this post, she proudly exclaimed Happy Thanksgiving giving and said that though what she was going through was tremendously rough she was thanking God for showing her just how strong she really is! That did it for me. Was I sick on Thanksgiving yes, but guess what??? I was here and alive for Thanksgiving and thats the point!!!! God is so awsome!!! I have been reading other posts and took notice that many of my friends are going through tough times right now. So, I wanted to share this song by Fred Hammond.
