Good morning folks... Today is broken record day. The weather will be mild ... as usual. The roads will be dry and or slightly wet...as usual.... and most of us, wont give a flying f**k as we pass through construction zones... But Nathan, you sound a little chippy this morning...Whats up??? Im glad you asked... Last night around 8:00 a man was standing out on Hwy 63 just doing his job. He was standing on Hwy 63 protecting his crew, by trying to get people to slow down in a construction zone, so no one would get hurt... Not his crew or any passing motorists... Anyone want that job??? Standing... on Hwy 63... in the f**king DARK??? yeah... me neither !!! Well, around 8:00 some a**h*le hit this poor guy with a semi... Now, I dont want to see a lot of comments about Stupid truckers or trucker bashing, because it could have just as easily been a car or pick-up that hit this poor guy. We ALL need to take responsibility for this guy that was hit...Why, you may ask? Because we are ALL GUILTY of not paying attention at time on the road. So, DO NOT sit on a high horse and be a FB hero of morality and point the finger, as though you are a perfect driver... Cuz youre not !!! Earlier, I said today is broken record day... One of the s**tty thing about being a Safety person or writing this page is, nearly everyday, during the spring and summer, I sound like a broken record... Roads are dry, no new incidents yadda yadda yadda .... And if youve followed this page long enough, You know, that pretty much every f**king day, I warn all of us to Pay attention in construction zones and Watch for flagging personnel .... Well, because I do sound like a broken record some days, and because complacency will kill you really really fast, this pages numbers are down.... WAY DOWN !!! All because I sound like a broken record and most of us think, that with no snow or icy conditions, Hwy 63 and Hwy 881 are just fine, so its time to Let er buck. I dont personally have an ego that needs to be stroked, I honestly dont... But when I hear about senseless and stupid s**t like this... I really do wonder about my efforts on this page. Oh... BTW, the worker involved is in serious condition and really needs your prayers, energy and happy thoughts. Yes, Hwy 63 and Hwy 881 are in good shape, yes the weather will be favorable and yes, we all need to pay attention on the roads... Today and E V E R Y F * * K I N G D A Y...
