Good morning friends - happy Sunday :) Am sitting down with the Sunday Times and for the first time in my life, seriously battling to force myself to read beyond page 5 - the news is simply overwhelming. I honestly feel nauseated by what has become of our country under the hand of the ANC. The strides taken in the first term by giants like Mandela have simply been flushed down the toilet of greed and moral degeneration and cronyism. Armed riot police stormed the chamber in parliament this week, cheered on by ANC MPs. This marks the first time police have entered the chamber since 1966 when Verwoerd was assassinated. They proceeded to assault opposition members, women included some telling MPs Now you will learn ! Pg 2 tells of the appointment of an alleged swindler to the position of Chairman of the PetroSA board. Pg 4 recounts the take of an entire R40 million school having been stolen a brick at a time over a two month period, without any intervention to any authorities to stop this from happening. Pg 5 - everyones favourite SABC chairwoman, Ellen Tshabala, who is facing the axe for allegedly lying about her qualifications, appoints our other favourite SANC (oops, Freudian slip) SABC rising star Haludi Motsuaneng as CEO. This ironically as they both face the chop for misrepresenting their qualifications. This did not deter dear Hlaudi however who apparently is now busy making three key appointments at the troubled broadcaster. In addition he is alleged to have asked the IT & Infrastructure division for a list of upcoming contracts. This covers only the first five pages of the Sunday Times. There is something seriously wrong with our country when these stories become everyday news. Even though we all seem to have been numbed into accepting this as the way the country is, it can be different. The only way we are going to save the beloved country is by voting out those responsible for the mess we are currently in. I cant help feeling that we are running out of time guys - we simply cannot pass on voting anymore or the long term consequences may be to dire to even contemplate. Have an amazing day friends, stay positive and do what you can to make this country great again. Any contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference.
