Good morning my Tiki. While Im having my coffee, Im sharing some thoughts with you, heart to heart. Today is day 3 of the 40 days of Lent. Did you ever wonder about the significance of 40 days or the number 40. In Biblical times, Noah & crew were on the Ark for 40 days while the world was destroyed by rain, then they began life anew. In the New Testament, Jesus prepared for his public life by fasting & praying in the desert for 40 days. 40 weeks is also the time a woman carries a baby in her womb before giving birth to new life. The 40 days of Lent are traditionally spent preparing oneself for the death and resurrection of Christ. The resurrection signifying that we have eternal life. In other words, the number 40 is the prelude for renewal or the beginning of something new. Im going to use these 40 days to prepare myself for my new status in life. Im going to recognize and contemplate on the knowledge that our souls have eternal life, and that we are linked forever. Im going to carry your heart in my heart throughout this journey. Im going to come to the understanding that death is not darkness for the dying, but a return to the Light. This way I can find joy in your death and comfort for my soul. Also, I will come to understand that my days do not have to be filled with Darkness. I will learn how to let the Light in through the gaping wound in my soul caused by the grief I feel. I will use these 40 days to renew my soul and prepare myself for the eternal life that we will have together when its my time to be fully reunited with you. I will carry your heart in my heart, and I will never be without it. Happy Lent. I love you.
