Good morning my friends. Well, I have been up about an hour - TopicsExpress

Good morning my friends. Well, I have been up about an hour reading a lot of posts from my friends and now it’s already 4:00 and time to start writing a post of my own. If you lived near Charlotte yesterday, it was a good chance you saw animals pairing up getting ready to board an ark and head for higher ground. Some folks might say that the meteorologists were making much to do about nothing yesterday morning, but I disagree. I am very thankful that they now have the technology to see a storm cloud begin its rotation and can warn us of an impending tornado. I have witnessed the devastation of tornadoes on the news and always say a prayer for the victims and it is only by the grace of God that one has not ripped our little town of Mooresville apart. So, I will say to our dedicated weather friends at WBTV and the other stations, “You are doing a fantastic job and keep up the good work. God Bless you all for your dedication.” Thankfully, we did get some much needed rain without any damage in our area. God has had a way of smiling down on our little town since 1873 and blessing us with His goodness. Like I have said before when visitors who come to our gallery ask me if I have lived here all my life, I do not hesitate to say, “Not yet!” People also ask me if I grew up here and I will have to be honest with them and say, “I haven’t finished growing up yet.” I have driven Vickie and myself to the forty-eight contiguous states and seven provinces of Canada and have yet to find anyplace that is better to live than Mooresville, North Carolina…which by the way, I always add, Mooresville is the cultural center and garden spot of the world. Some places have scenery that might be considered more dramatic and beautiful and I would perhaps consider living at some of those locations a few months out of the year, but then their weather changes dramatically, too…and that’s the end of that! We live in a wonderful community who have always welcomed strangers and always have helped acclimate them to our way of life. A lot of them have been quick to tell us how they did things back where they were from, but eventually they will see the error of their ways and begin to enjoy our laidback way of life. It’s almost time to get ready for a little physical exercise this morning and we hope to go on a pottery buying trip today so we can have some new pieces for the Race City Festival tomorrow. Come by and see us if you are downtown and pick up a free print for dropping by to say howdy. Have a good day and don’t forget to be kind to one another. God Bless!!
