Good news! FluMist, the nasal flu vaccine for children ages two years and older, has arrived. The shot version has not yet shipped. Stop by for FluMist in the next few weeks or ask for it the next time you are in the office. Of note, flu vaccine can be given as early as June. The only reason flu vaccine is usually given in the fall is that it typically does not get manufactured, approved, and shipped until fall. Avoid the panic/rush at the start of flu season by getting vaccinated early.
