Good news and some sad: At the same time as we have approved to train and equip a further 20 village scouts and rangers for anti-poaching work near Nsumbu National Park Zambia( due to your fantastic support) we have also recently lost some more of our ranger family at the hands of poachers. We will attempt to get support to these rangers families asap. Thanks to all of you who make both the proactive training and equipping possible and the necessary support for families of fallen rangers. Condolences to the families of Mr. Supot Kladnoenklum, age 24, was shot during an arrest situation with some tiger poachers in Thailand (another colleague was seriously injured) and in India Ranger Jawan Singh Rathore, 52, and guard Pattu, 40 who were found murdered in their ranger station. There full story is a bit gruesome so I wont write it here , but the link is here for those that wish to know the circumstances. timesofindia.indiatimes/city/bhopal/Panna-forest-ranger-guard-found-dead-with-throat-slit/articleshow/38247035.cms Condolences also the family and colleagues of a French Ranger Roselyne Anselmet, 55 yo, was a Park Ranger in the Vanoise National Park who sadly died from a fall whilst counting vultures this week . She was the first female ranger in this park and potentially in all of France. We honour them and their work by continuing our support of rangers and their families across the globe. Kindest Regards Sean Willmore- for The Thin Green Line Foundation and International Ranger Federation teams
