I just received this Advanced VX 6 a couple weeks ago & wouldnt you know it-The celestial gods bring in the clouds & rain whenever amateur astronomers purchase any new equipment! I ran this one through the motions in the apartment as I like to hear the sound of those AVX integer worm gears. I set it to line up North then set the index marks & began a mock alignment. I slewed it to Mars, Jupiter & Venus & sure bet the direction this GoTo computerized telescope pointed to is almost exactly where they are in the sky at that moment. The best purchase for my astronomy Ive made, a very sturdy rock solid German Equatorial mount! Ive also included some nice pics at the end of this set up, some planetary and Moon images.
