Good news for Centennial Trail lovers: Earlier this week at the WA - TopicsExpress

Good news for Centennial Trail lovers: Earlier this week at the WA State Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, partners from State Parks, the cities of Spokane and Spokane Valley and Spokane County signed the Centennial Trail Agreement to help ensure the future of this community treasure. The 20-year-old trail was showing signs of wear. This agreement creates a trail maintenance fund and more clearly defines responsibility for capital repairs. Its a tremendous example of how partnerships can help keep valued recreation spaces open and accessible now and for future generations. The popular trail runs 37 miles from Nine Mile Falls east to the Idaho border and is open for non-motorized use, including hiking, biking, roller blading and, in some places, horseback riding.
