Good times Sunday guys, came out the gate hot scoring 57 runs in 8 innings and hitting 17 HR’s, a 3 hr break 6 plays going the other caused us to lose by 2 in extras in game 3. Otherwise we would have been 3-0 and playing another game right then and there, and would have been warm, loose, and ready to keep it rolling. First and foremost, big ups to Ryan for not only staying with us the whole day after being slid into at 2nd, but also extending his dominance in career walk lead to 27, and batting and having and OBP of 1.000. Jamie took home the money with the mediocre performance of leading the team in Batting Average .833, OBP .875, tied for HR’s – 4, leading RBI’s – 12, Runs – 13, and even walks – 4. He came 1 hit short of the all-time mark for AVG in a tourney which is the big cat Alex at .900 in LA, and 1 hit short of OBP all-time mark also in LA by Cutrell who was .917 John “Kal-el” Sims crushed his share of BL limes, and tattoo softballs, also tied with 4 HR’s on the day (+1 for an out and 1 that somehow ended up in the field of play), tied for triples lead – 3, and lead the team in Slug % - 2.167 – which out clipped Ben’s LA performance of 2.111 and is the highest in BOP history. Scotty “Too Hotty” Watkins also tied HR lead with 4, lead team in hits with 11, batted a gentlemen’s .786 and had 2nd highest OBP of .800, also of note he is the first player in WCSA history to make a 3 pointer during a softball game by unleashing years of being called “hard G’s” in one swing and putting a ball close enough if not 400 feet away. Scotty, Sims, and Jamie were all 1 HR short of the single tourney high set by Kevin and Charlie at 5. Tim survived yet another tourney, without a free ride to the nearby medical facility, and fielded the position with class and elegance that only a man with such a mustache could. Despite the high numbers of those guys, everyone had a pretty good offensive day, Ben had 3 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 HR’s, Shane a double and 3 HR’s, Josh 2 HR’s and 2 triples, Charlie a double and 2 HR’s, Mike 2 HR’s, , Harden a double and 2 HR’s, and Big Cat Alex got 1 in there too. As a team we batted .624, had an OBP of .661, and Slugged 1.295. Total of 26 HR’s in 4 games, with the HR limit being 5 a game minus 3rd inning. **CAREER NUMBERS UPDATE** As you could imagine Jamie has moved up to 2nd in career AVG .651 and OBP .685, and moved into 1st in Slug 1.289 and OPS 1.974 Harden still clinging tight to career leads in AVG .688 and OBP .720 Ben has reclaimed his doubles lead on me with 20 and remains tied with me on triples Charlie still has HR and RBI leads 18 and 89 respectively, and as always it pains me to say such Team Stats: https://drive.google/file/d/0B2GrkvcDztLQZlZxYl9taURUZFE/edit?usp=sharing
