Gooodddd morning yall! Sooooo after a weekend of struggling to bump down laylahs o2 and keeping her sats up I think we may finally be at the end of the struggle! For the past 2 weeks no one in icu could figure out how to maintain her sats. This weekend they tried everything from increased rt treatments to back to back breathing treatments and she was put on steroids as well...nothing... her sats were still low with the occasional high.but that was on 3 to 4 liters of o2. Today her regular np (loooooove her) came in and changed her vent from pressure support back to volume support (that was changed the beginning of dec) and we have a winner! For the first time in 2 weeks my babygirl is back on 1 liter of o2 and satting well!!!!! Thank God! !!!! Thats all it was! She didnt tolerate the vent settings! Mind you....all this happened while at ou....the initial changes from volume to pressure was done right before she got sick a couple of weeks ago but in icu they kept increasing everything on the vent claiming these are her new needed settings....bull butter! It took tcc to figure out it was just the support that had to be changed! You would think an icu wouldve been able to figure that one out....smh ....love tcc! Yall rock!!!!! My diva baby is up in her stander on 1 l of o2 playing with her josh and being silly and laughing! Praise God! Also....she is finally off contact so everyone will be able to go and meet laylah Christmas day!!!!! Yay! The whole family spending Christmas together!!!!! :-)
