Gospel of The Lord Sunday 23rd March 2014 “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst; the water that I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” REFLECTION In spite of witnessing several words and the power of a mighty hand that brought them out of the land of slavery, people of Israel fail to believe or trust that Yahweh can provide them water to drink in the desert. The Samaritan woman on the other hand, when offered the possibility of having water that can become in her a spring welling up to eternal life, believes in Jesus, who has become to enable people to worship God in Spirit and truth. Paul recounts that Jesus, in fact, accomplished it when we were actually sinners or enemies of God. Lord, may the spirit that you have given us help me to live and worship you in spirit and truth. ~ Holy Gospel According To John 4:5-42
