Got Ancestry DNA results back. They are more general than expected and a little bit unusual. This must have been a different testing organization than my friend Bob Brodman used since there was no category for percent Neanderthal. I was hoping for at least 3%. ;-) Europe: 100% (No surprise) Europe East (Includes Latvia which is my entire paternal line, and maybe Bavaria 1/2 of maternal line): 64% Great Britain: 20% (This is a big surprise. I know of no ancestry from there, but perhaps related enough to the Germanic barbarians who later settled in Schwaben - 1/2 of my maternal line) Scandinavia: 11% Finland/NW Russia: 3% Ireland?!: 2% Europe West: < 1% Im going to have this done again by another group for a second opinion. Interesting though!
