From the Emminent Commander of Belvidere Commandery No. 2, Knights - TopicsExpress

From the Emminent Commander of Belvidere Commandery No. 2, Knights Templar: My Fellow Sir Knights, I pray that the new year looks with favor upon you and yours and that this letter finds all in good health and spirits. Your Commandery is growing! Growth is slow, but it is steady. Some of the younger Knights are stepping up to the plate as Officers and many are taking the time to commit ritual to memory. With this said I again remind you that your presence at our Assemblies is not only encouraged but would greatly welcomed. It is not necessary that you possess a uniform, your attendance is whats important. To have Knights seated on the sidelines is as important as having the chairs filled. Remember that it is not about fancy uniforms or flashy sword work, it is about the like minded men, joined together in the name of Christ working for the betterment of one another, their families and their communities. If you are worried about not remembering something, dont worry, we all forget. If a refresher in something is what you would like or feel you need, just say the word. I know that night driving can be troublesome for some, difficulty in getting around for others; however, if you need a ride, let us know. If you cant get out, let us know so we can visit you. There is a lot that you have to offer to the younger members and they, like myself, look forward to learning from you. So please, if you can, join us. If you cant get out, all the more important to let us know. On the subject of growth, we are doing a Spring Drive on recruiting whereby those that hit hard times and had to let things go and are now back on their feet can get active again for only $81.00. If you know a Mason that would make a good Knight, the York fee is temporarily dropped to $101.00. So keep all this in mind. Again, I look forward to seeing you at our meetings and enjoying the Christian Fellowship that the Knights Templar stands for. William Perkins SK William Perkins, PEC Emminent Commander
