Got Pocus & Fluffy back on Friday from The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. Their spaying went well & Fluffy the semi feral kitten was brought back to The Cove to temporarily stay till she gets adopted on Monday or Tuesday, to her new home to live as a barn cat on The North Shore. Pocus,I kept an extra day in my hallway. Even thou she was terrified,she never tried to bit or scratched me. I even managed to pet her & to get her to eat treats out of my hand. I had hopes of finding this gentle stray a forever home,but Unfortunately I did not succeed.I ended up having to release her last night back to the live on the streets. The thing that I was really afraid of was the possibility of never seeing her again once released. Within 20 mins of release, her tipped eared buddy/boyfriend,named Chubbs, came to eat & shockingly Pocus was with him. She stayed back a lil but I did get her to play with the laser toy for a few minutes. Having her come back after putting her thru so much,has made all the emotional ups & downs of the last couple of days worth it. Gunna give myself a few days & then I got to start the TNR all over again with the rest of her three 4-5 mnth old feral kittens. Will be glad when the TNRing is completely done
