Got an LED string of lights out? Heres a trick: get a non-contact voltage tester (looks like a magic marker, you touch the tip to a cord to see if it is electrically energized without cutting into it, $20 Home Depot) and touch in several places along the part that is out. Eventually you can pinpoint the exact LED bulb that is causing the problem- one side will buzz, the other will either half buzz, or not buzz. If they are replaceable, pull out and replace with a good one, or short it out (pin to pin) just to verify. For me, they were not replaceable, so I soldered across it. Saved me a lot of time, and grief!! :)
