Gov. Jerry Brown on Saturday vetoed a bill that would have allowed - TopicsExpress

Gov. Jerry Brown on Saturday vetoed a bill that would have allowed solo motorists in regular vehicles access to those lanes on two Los Angeles County freeways during non-peak hours. "Carpool lanes are especially important in Los Angeles County to reduce pollution and maximize use of freeways," Brown wrote in his veto message. "We should retain the current 24/7 carpool lane control." - Oh really? Then why can parents use the lane with toddlers and infants? How does that help reduce pollution? - carpool lanes in Los Angles remain, to me, one of the most idiotic things in this city (in a city full of them). Here was a chance to relieve traffic for EVERYONE at off peak hours- shot down by another clueless politician that is allowed to dodge traffic with escorts and helicopters.
