Government Remains Determined To Bring Back Our Girls-Abati The savagery and the sheer irrationality in the spilling of innocent blood in Nigeria’s north east region came to its unbearable point in the past few days as the eyes of the whole world was on the campaign in support of the search of the abducted school girls from a secondary school in Chibok in Borno state. The whole world came to Nigeria’s aid just as the same time world business leaders converged in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja for the World Economic Forum on Africa The whole world stood up to condemn the killings and the abduction by the sect Boko Haram. The Nigerian government may be under intense pressure on what to do and how well to coordinate the activities in bringing back the girls and solving the challenge of insurgency President Jonathan’s confidence level perhaps got a notch higher with the multiple support from countries like the US, the UK, France and China. The opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC) told journalists in Lagos that it wants to help the federal government But beyond of all that what must the Nigerian government do now to make sure Nigerians are at peace and concentrate on developing the now number economy on the continent. President Jonathan’s Media Adviser, Dr Reuben Abati joins the programme and explains the government’s effort in the fight to bring back the girls and bring terrorism to end in Nigeria.
