Government seizures, part 5 At this point the government has seized your property without a hearing, you have been required to pay money to ask why the government it has taken what is yours, the government has delayed your right to a hearing by months and demanded you prove, throught a standing hearing, that the property they took from you, is yours. As recently happened to my client, we were able to show a judge, six months after the seizure, that the property was ours in a standing hearing. Then the Department of Saftey and Homeland Security who lost the hearing decided to appeal. Appeals are generally not allowed until after the entire case is decided but the government has special rules that allow them to do so. So, the Department of Saftey and Homeland Security appealed the Decision to, get ready for this, to the Commissioner of the Department of Saftey and Homeland Security, THERE OWN BOSS!!!! Please read that again, your property is taken and the arm of the government taking is the same one that decides the appeal of the judges decision. Please, to all my friends that have any belief in a limited government, just take the time to read that again and let it sink in. If this okay, our property rights are lost forever. No jury, paying for hearing, proving property taken from you is yours and not the governments and when you win the government stealing your property appeals to themselves.
