Gozo Rocks Clean & Green Hikes: We had short trash hike yesterday morning in order for a TV crew to get some footage of the kids working so hard to try and keep Gozo clean! An endless job. It was our last clean up hike of the year: 21 days of clean-up hikes in 2014, 1,838 hours total hours spent cleaning, 139km covered while cleaning, 589 big bags of recyclables collected in addition to some heavy material and debris. TVM may broadcast the footage today (news times 12, 3pm, 6pm, 8:00pm and 10:45pm for Ghawdex Illum). We will have an awards ceremony on 5th January 2015 at 11.30am at the Ministry for Gozo Exhibition Hall. The Minister of Gozo Hon. Anton Refalo will present the children contributed their time and effort with a certificate. We will have a slide show of the kids and small reception as well. I would love to see all the people who participated in the Gozo Greyhounds Gozo Rocks Clean & Green Hikes 2014 to support these kids and to celebrate what we all achieved.
