Great Day yesterday celebrating the contribution that 4 legends had made to our club and that 1 legend had made to Australian cricket. The 8 teams that competed all gave energetic performance although the make up of the teams did take on a younger look as the day advanced with many of our juniors playing in multiple teams. I think Harry Kennan, Roly Hallett, Keith Davey, Justin Plas and Phil Hughes would have been proud of the teams that represented them. Winning team on the day was the Phil Hughes team captained by Simon Melberzs who won a hard fought final over the Justin Plas team captained by Tom Fleet. Player of the day was undoubtedly Josh Robson. Josh fielded in almost every game and batted and bowled as well. Josh epitomises all that is good in our club and everything our legends worked to create for us to benefit from. Have a great Australia Day.
