STILL RED HOT or WAY OVER THE HILL? All three of this Nationals pickups featured very specific sets of capacitor values to pull three very unique sounds out of the instrument. The neck pickup is warm and wooly, perfect for mellow jazz phrasing or alternately really adding some punch and girth to a fuzz tone. The bridge has tons of attack and presence, with a kick in the mids and a full, well rounded sound, while the Valtrol pickup *inside* the actual bridge gives an almost acoustic flavor which was a tone used heavily by the Black Keys on the Brothers album, paired with some great fuzzes for a buzzsaw twang like no other.
