Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things, with humbled hearts we gather together to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the precious gift of life and the unique paths provided to us. May we strive to follow them with strong legs and straight eyes. We thank you for our Elders that bring us insight and wisdom to help us along our journey. May we hold them with the deepest respect they deserve. We thank you for our children that will carry these onto the next generation and build upon the unbreakable foundation the seventh generation is erecting now. We thank you for our family and friends that give us the support we need. We thank you for our animal friends that bring us comfort to us in our time of need. We ask for your healing hands to be placed upon those that are suffering from diverse diseases and disorders. We ask for comfort for those that have lost loved ones. We ask for guidance, strength and courage for those that are meeting their ancestors in the Spirit World for their next phase of life. We ask for guidance as we continue on our paths and bring discernment when it is in need. We ask for great signs and dreams for your children during this time, and blessing our hearts so we may hear and understand them. We ask for an era of peace in a world where your children are exhausted over the hatred, greed and lust of power behind the wars we must endure. We ask for the veils of secrecy to be lifted so your children can better understand how and why these are forced upon us. We ask for an end to the hatred and stereotypes that divide your people. We ask for clarity of how and why government has placed blood percentages in deciding who is and who is not indigenous. We ask for protection for our animal brothers and sisters that are facing grave dangers each day. We ask for the release of Leonard Peltier, and all other political prisoners, that have been incarcerated for crimes they did not commit just so government can save face. We ask for protection for our women and children that continue to endure violence and abuse. We ask for protection and freedom for those that have been taken from their homes. As in war, we too are tired of our children being abducted and killed to satisfy the greed and lust of the abductors. For as we have trespassed against others, we also ask for forgiveness for those of our enemies. We ask for doors to open and compassion given to our homeless and those struggling in poverty. We thank you for the rains that come to bring moisture and growth to the plants and herbs. We thank you for the wisdom of the heart found in the rushing waters and gentle winds we find in nature. We thank you for the understanding that the answers we seek can all be found in nature if we take the time to empty our minds and truly listen to our surroundings. We thank you for Grandfather Sun that rises each morning to bring us warmth and the lighting of our paths. We thank you for Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber. We thank you for Father Sky as he protects us both day and night. We thank you for Mother Earth as she provides us with all we need to survive. We thank you for the rain forests that give us the air to breathe. Emenv
