Great West Run 2014 - what a bast*rd of a course - all them hills!! Anyone who ran today did very well indeed , not all Half Marathons are like this ! On saying that , bettered my position from 165 last year to 128 and knocked an amazing 2 min 37 seconds of last years time finishing in 1-32-11... Came second in my age group so well done to the bloke who beat me ( dope test please ;) )... All in all very chuffed with such a huge time and position improvement on a very hot day ... Theres no doubt that the weights and new regimes are still paying dividends so sincere thanks to those who are motivating and supporting me through these new challenges ... Pics are pre race breakfast ( chicken stir fry with sweet potatoes & broccoli ), selfie 15 mins prior to race start and post race tea and buns ... Time to chill now :) xxx
