Great new free service that can notify your emergency contacts quickly when something goes wrong. Founder Stephan Boyer says he founded Kitestring to keep his girlfriend safe, My girlfriend, who lives in a dangerous neighborhood in San Francisco, called to ask me to check up on her as she was walking home from work one day. I wondered if there might be an app or service that could offer a little extra safety for her when she goes out at night, and the idea for Kitestring came to me Its an easy process. Set up: 1. You sign up with your name and phone number (they text you a code to enter) 2. You enter your emergency contacts & code words (check in & duress) Using the service: 1. You tell Kitestring where you are going and what time to check in on you 2. You check in during the allotted time and all is well. Note: If you are unable to check in, Kitestring notifies your emergency contacts with your message. Check it out today: https://kitestring.io/
