Great question from a GGS Community member: Food planning and journaling... Being organized and aware, or obsessive and disordered? Our answer? Depends! Does it allow you to feel sane, organized, and relaxed? Or do you find it stressful and dread doing it? Does it keep you on track? Or does it cause you to obsess over every little thing you put in your mouth? Does it give you a sense of calm when youre traveling knowing that you have good awareness of what you put in your mouth, or does it give you anxiety that you cant perfectly log every single morsel of food youre eating? That should help you answer your own question. :) For many people, they enjoy planning and organizing and journaling. Its the only way they can stay on track. For others, its a good idea in the beginning to increase their knowledge and awareness surrounding their habits, tendencies, and preferences.
