Great second day for our Baird debaters competing at the Las Vegas Invitational. Both teams of Liam Hancock & Tyler Shearer and Brooke Kimbrough & Geo Liriano qualified for the elimination rounds. In the first elimination round on Sunday evening, Liam and Tyler defeated a team from UNLV, while Brooke and Geo defeated the tournaments top seed from U Cal Irvine, and both of our teams prevailed on 3-0 decisions! Both teams will be debating in the second elimination round beginning at 11 am central time today. Liam and Tyler will be debating Arizona State, while Brooke and Geo will debate a team from Weber State. Go Hawks!
