Great week-end (the past two week-ends) and the annual Idaho State Seniors Tournament is over and we have 12 bowlers going to Reno, July, 2014 to the Nationals. After all these years doing this, I still get to meet new bowlers. Although there is knowing that some wont make it back ever its great to have them be a part of 2 week-ends each year. They bring humor, tales of new journeys this past year and plans for next year. I was told this year and have been told before that they look forward to the honor we give the Veterans at the beginning of each squad. We did add something---besides honoring the veterans themselves, we have the spouses join them on the approaches and now weve added the widows/widowers of our Veterans. You know what, I am a widow of a Veteran! Kenny was a 20 year career man. Thanks to one of the bowlers who lost his wife, she was a veteran, for suggesting this.
