Greater words were never spoken. I just finished videotaping a ladys funeral this past week we decided to go and see her children in Vancouver and Kelowna BC. She couldve waited and found hundreds of excuses of why she shouldnt travel all that distance at that particular time. The family was so grateful that she had such a good visit with all of them. She came home, and one day later they found her dead in her apartment. She died in her sleep. What a way to go, and imagine out of the family wouldve felt if she had given them the 100 excuses that we normally give and we dont want to do something because were being inconvenienced at the moment and we think we have more important things to do in a rush rush world. Personally, we just finished a couple of weeks at South Padre Island in Texas where our entire four generations gathered together to have a windsurfing and kite boarding holiday. It was one of the finest holidays we couldve imagined, but each one of us would have had legitimate reasons why we shouldnt have gone in the strip and holiday. The oldest member of her familys is 78 years old, and by that age has had enough training to concoct whatever excuses would have been tolerable in order not to go, and the youngest in the group was born in August 2013, just a few weeks ago. The youngest grandchild just got married in July, the second youngest grandchild just had the baby, and the oldest grandchild just had a baby in 2013, and came with the baby and two other siblings. Needless to say, it was chaos and confusion, but they were the best behaved kids that I have seen for a long time, and gave us no problems at all. Cant say that for the rest of us. But everybody enjoyed themselves and had a great time, and the perception of the entire group is that it is important to live your life with no regrets. There is a great book that everyone should read and it lists the most important things that make for happiness and a great life and they are in the following order: One: faith Two: family Three: friends Four: fitness Five: finances Follow your heart, live well, and going enjoy the rest of the days that you have left on earth.
