Green Party’s Howie Hawkins to kick off campaign for New York governor SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Howie Hawkins plans to officially kick off his Green Party race for governor Tuesday in Syracuse. The campaign’s official announcement is at 6 p.m. at the special events room at The Spa at 500, 500 W. Onondaga St. Hawkins will make similar announcements next week in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and New York City.
