Greeting !!! I want to share where my Baskets for Love for cancer patients came from! A few weeks ago it was one year since we lost our very own special friend Bernice Joseph to cancer! She fought hard and she let me be part of that fight with her. I was honor to be one of a few to accompany her to some of her chemo treatments and she taught me so much about my spiritually and my faith. So having been so busy I havent forgotten I wanted to do something in her memory and Sunday I was at home tinkering around my place and wanted to make some bread for a family friend member who was sent in to reside over at Denali Center from my hometown of Ruby so I was thinking about him and cancer and how I made bread and moose soup for over Bers last year and I was like there you have it. Make a goodies basket for Stan n Joyce but spread the love and share smiles with others in memory of Ber so this week I have been asking for donations n been receiving jarred fish, eating strips, homemade jams, homemade breads, rolls, cookies and other homemade treats so tomorrow around dinner time myself and a few others will bring this Baskets filled with Love to several of our people fighting cancer, some who are losing that battle. the baskets will come with hot moose soup for the soul. Thanks to President/Chief Victor and Doreen Deaton for the moose soup! Its Gods blessings that we come together in the good times but also in the bad or sad times. Our Native Communiry has something we can be proud of and should be proud of. I thank all of you for your donations of Love for this project!
