Greetings Facebookers; Im not normally a big commentator on things political. I do from time to time like or share something that strikes me, but for the most part I keep my head down, and mouth shut. I grew up voting Republican, until George W Bushs second term, and then decided to give the other folks a chance. That said, with the upcoming mid-term elections now only about 60 days away, and the 2016 Presidential election fast approaching, I want to ask a favor of you. VOTE!! Do the research; find out what the candidate’s records are and what issues are important to you, and VOTE!! There may be propositions on the ballet that tell the locals how to spend your tax dollars, or provide you services. Let them know what you think and VOTE!! Dont just listen to ads on radio or TV. Find out who is behind the ad, and why. The folks behind these ads are seldom clear and straight forward about what or who they are supporting, look into it and decide if that is something you agree with...But VOTE!!! Dont vote for someone/something because Rachel Maddow said so, or because you heard about them from Glenn Beck. You will not get un-biased info from either of those sources... Be skeptical about the news media, and look into it YOURSELF. Keep your mind open to the views of all candidates, and make an informed decision, BUT VOTE!!!! If you live in an area of our nation where it is difficult to register to vote, ask a friend to help you step over the barriers, register and VOTE!! If you have difficulty finding the time to go to the polls, when your voting information arrives in the mail, request an absentee ballot, but VOTE!!! Remember that a lot of folks fought, and many gave their lives so you could live in freedom, the least you can do is honor their sacrifice and VOTE!!! Thanks for your time…. Mike
