Grief! Sure the turkey and family time were great, but I cant - TopicsExpress

Grief! Sure the turkey and family time were great, but I cant help thinking about the hard side of the holidays too. To all of us and especially dear friends suffering acute grief, here are some thoughts in summary of a cool piece I recently read: You are still living, so take care of yourself! Be open to forgive those who dont respond to your situation perfectly. Crying is still okay, but laughing is too. Journal about the one/s youve lost and relive the good times. Youve asked why a lot, now ask how what and who-how can I live well today, what can I do for myself and others, who can I love today-honor the life you have in honor of those youve lost. Stop numbing the pain with excesses, you aint got time for that mess. Facing our grief is right and a lot of good can be learned...yeah, I know, it may be the toughest learning, yet we all live in the wake of loss. Respond in the best ways possible, no need to be too hard on yourself, greet each day with grace, humility, joy, and love. From me: Joy comes straight from a thankful heart! Be thankful = Joyful (even when youre sad, or poor, or alone). Peace to you all-T (the post I summarized from can be found at identityrenewed/2013/11/21/15-things-i-wish-id-known-about-grief/ go check it out, the author gets it!!)
