Grippier than a virgins coochy-coo.... Which is why I read all eight tales in a single sitting. Not a massive undertaking considering the length of the book, but that wasnt my intention when I opened the first page. Yet thats what happened. Such is the skill and Magick that Jefferson Banks weaves into each of his tales that you are gripped from line one of The Lunch Lady. So perhaps I was fortunate that Mr Banks didnt collect more tales between his electronic covers, as I would have devoured everything and still been hungry for more. In fact Mr Banks... I AM hungry for more so please set pen to paper or fingers to keyboard and write and publish more slivers of Your dark and wild imagination!!! Mr Banks writing style evokes the Strangeness of Chuck Palahniuk, the Darkness of Neil Gaiman, the Humour of Jasper FForde, but takes each and mixes them with his own with square-jawed gritty realism to create a world that could only be by Jefferson Banks. My literary stomach is grumbling ..
