Grounding Technique 1: Stand with your feet firmly on the ground or if you feel unsafe sit on an upright chair with your feet placed firmly flat on the ground. Then feel your left foot connected with the ground, feel the earth energy. You may feel a tingling, warmth or heaviness in the feet or some other sensation. Feel the energy or sensation traveling up your left leg. Allow the energy to keep moving up your leg through your knee and into your thigh.When it reaches the top of the thigh let the feeling move across to your right leg as it passes through the root chakra. Now feel the energy working down your right leg, down your thigh, past your knee and into your ankle. When it reaches your foot, feel it flow out of the bottom into the ground. When you have finished bring yourself back into the room and identify any feelings or sensations you experienced. You should feel solid, secure and safe and very much connected to the earth.
