Guangdong 7-month container volume declines 0.2pc to 15.04 million TEU The southern Guangdong checkpoint posted a year-on-year 0.2 per cent decline in import and export container volume to 15.04 million TEU in the first seven months, according to the statistics from the provincial customs and inspection departments, reports Xinhua. While its overall import and export cargo volume increased 2.1 per cent to 222 million tonnes in the same period, entry and exit passengers increased 4.5 per cent to 200 million people, and transport vehicles rose 0.2 per cent to 1,124 units.
