Gurudev said~ There are 5000 flutists who have joined us from all over India. The youngest flutist is 7 years old and the oldest is 75 years old. Sri Sri: As you heard and we all know that 5000 years ago one flute was played. And till today we can hear the voice of that. Today, in the city of Nasik more than 5000 flutists have played together and created history. Today, there is so much terrorism in India and abroad. Someone asked me why have you given everyone a flute to play in such times? A sign of an intelligent one is one who spends time in discussing knowledge, music. It has been a tradition since the times of rishis. We have seen life in totality. We have taken knowledge, music, devotion together. Only India can send the message of peace to the world. Today is the birthday of Swami Vivekanda and Swami Mahesh Yogi. They have taken the knowledge of India to all corners of the World. This city of Nasik is a Kumbh nagari. In the flute is there is some dirt, then music will not come. It has to be empty. Similarly, this city has three rivers: Godavari, Kapila, and Nasradi. These three rivers must be cleaned. All the sewage of this city goes into these rivers. This is our duty. Lets take the sankalpa to clean these rivers. I congratulate the volunteers of Art of Living to rejuvenate 5 rivers in Marthawada region. Now it is the turn of Nasik. I would also like the central and state government here to consider this as an emergency. When we have reached Mars, then 8 months is enough to clean and rejuvenate these rivers. Come, lets meditate for some time. Sri Sri: There is an old saying. When we bathe in shabd bramha (transcendental sound), we move towards Parama Bramha (the supreme consciousness). This is a technique make the mind peaceful when we are disturbed. Stress-free mind, disease-free body, sharp intellect, happy state of mind is the birth right of each one. There are many ways to achieve this. Music, meditation, and knowledge we have to take all these three together and move. The Prime Minister has already given a call for creating a Clean India. Many volunteers are already working towards this. But, we need to move with more strength. Everyone move together to complete this work quickly. If the source of water in India is purified, then the diseases will not occur. As we use the same water to farming. We use dirty water for that. There will be a change in the food, behavior, and thought. There is a saying that we eat determines our thoughts. If thoughts have to be purified, then the food must be pure. Farmers must use natural fertilizers, clean water, clean air. We must move together and work together to keep our city clean. Will you do this? Before Kumbh, we must clean this area. We can do this. We should not burn plastic. When you burn (a piece of) plastic, it causes cancer-like disease to reach 1000 people. Who is the youngest flutist in this crowd? A five-year-old child called Sudarshan is the youngest flutist. He has been learning to play the flute since a year. Now, we present Venu Aarti. Sri Sri: People who thought that this is the time for rock music. Nowadays, people do not like classical music. It is a question for them: come here and see how many people are there who enjoy classical music and how many people are there who have taken classical music to its peak. It has been a challenge for the maestros to keep the tradition of Indian Classical Music alive. Just 5 years ago we were sitting Pandit ji and discussing where do people like Classical Music. We are happy to note that thousands of youth are learning and enjoying Indian Classical Music. I request all parents who are watching this to teach their children Indian Classical Music, whether it is Carnatic or Hindustani. Sri Sri: People who thought that this is the time for rock music. Those who thought that people do not like classical music. Ask those people to come here and witness this. It has been a challenge for the maestros to keep the tradition of Indian Classical Music alive. We are happy to note that more youth are learning and enjoying Indian Classical Music. I request all parents who are watching this to teach their children Indian Classical Music, whether it is Carnatic or Hindustani. It was Renu Majumdars dream to create Venunaad. It has become a habit of ours to break world records. All the students and masters who are here. The masters who have reached their peak are also playing with students. They say it is difficult to get together four great players. It is easy to gather foolish people. We congratulate all the Masters who have participated in this Maha Yagya. And continue to spread this wonderful knowledge of Indian Classical Music abroad. In Vedas, it is said, that even the Earth, Speech, and Heat of people should have sweetness. Lets take a new sankalpa (intention). Many people say that India should be the Guru of the World. I say, India is the Guru of the World. We remember two great people, Swami Vivekanada and Swami Mahesh Yogi, who have their birthdays today. They are in Para Brahma. With this faith that we have their blessings, lets work together and do seva. Sri Sri: This program is being watched by many all over the World. I will say a few words in English. Music is a very important part of our life. A child learns language afterwards, but first learns to make sounds. Today, when there is tension, depression, and terrorism, it is time that we wake up and awaken the humanness that is deeply embedded within us. Today, this is the 11th such big event where 5378 flutists have partaken in a program meant to bring peace and happiness to all the people in the World.
