Guv candidate Christine Jones: DUI convictions, jail time, a “mistake” It’s being reported that 2014 gubernatorial candidate Christine Jones, 45, is guilty of even more than being a registered Republican who funds the campaigns of Democrats and RINOs. Her claims of being a conservative were already short-circuited on that news. Now we see that Christine Jones was twice convicted of DUI. TPM reports that records show she was pulled over in 2004. She was also twice convicted of DUI in 2006. She calls those incidents that landed her an overnight bunk in jail and cost her in fines — which she slickly conceals as “dues” — “regrettable mistakes.” Was the “mistake” her ongoing habit of drinking to excess and getting behind the wheel or getting caught? She was also ticketed on red-light-running charges in 2008 and 2009. Jones’ repeated risky behavior shows a bizarre intent on causing a major accident — or worse. On top of all of the above, the woman who wants to lead Arizona as governor actually thinks illegal aliens cross the Rio Grande to enter our state. No wonder she changed her name in 2009.
