Guyana and the Guyana music industry have got to start embracing - TopicsExpress

Guyana and the Guyana music industry have got to start embracing talented folks a whole lot more and make the investment...Romain Virgo is talented beyond his age and its tough to believe that he got his start in the Digicel Rising star competition in Jamaica. After winning that competition he got involved in a few small shows and was eventually pushed to the big leagues with recordings and deals...In Guyana we have artistes like the talented Mystic who is just as talented as virgo and we also have song competition winners like Brandon Harding and Ryan Hoppie who are both soulful singers...the difference between the three Guyanese and the 1 Jamaican, is that Jamaica embraced that growing talent and invested heavily in it. The local singers too have got to learn to work hard and not fall asleep at the wheel. You cant want to come out with a song once a year then be pissed that the deejays not playing your music...even if you dont have original pieces, do like virgo, give us your version of a big hit and push yourself to do more. And be disciplined...gently remove your head from your ass and become committed to your talent. I have no doubt that Mystic is leading the way to that soulful reggae sound in Guyana. Alot of local artistes might want to copy the energy and hard work of some of their own like Jackie Jaxx who is very consistent with her sound and good music these days... I want to see the talented gt artistes do well but they have got to want the same too...But in the meantime.. https://youtube/watch?v=67FnEVMXrao
