Because corn is a GMO product, and its extracts are in almost all prepared food. GMO stands Gelnetically modified organism ,Engineered to kind of pollinate across species. this does not happen naturally, for example ,A dog cannot produce offsprings with a sheep.) But small segments of DNA can be planted quite easily by viral /bactaria like engineered organisms, across species to produce desired charecterstics/traits of the offsprings, this changes them permanently at genetic level.
