HAPPY GROUNDHOGS DAY! A formal celebration of Groundhogs Day didnt work out this year...too much competition with the Super Bowl. But make sure YOU celebrate!... Personally, I am going to see the movie Frozen, then watch the Super Bowl with a frozen beverage. This year did not bring a lot of weather beauty, but it did bring some interesting events. Last winter we had no frozen precipitation. The spring brought few “banner” days. During our chilly Spring Break, Faith and I spent a great deal of time enjoying a fire at Brasstown Valley. The summer brought much RAIN!! Hot summer days were few and far between. Our blueberries received so much rain that the skins burst, and they were not as sweet. I would say the fall received the “Most Beautiful Season” award. 2014, however, has been quite dramatic! We’ve had record breaking cold, and Winter Storm Leon! Club members have suffered busted pipes and collapsed ceilings. David helped to push cars after his seven hour journey home after suffering the wrath of Leon. Will General Lee see his shadow?
