HAPPY NEW YEAR Advance Booking Postponed To Wednesday In Mumbai Circuit Much awaited Shahrukh Khan - Deepika Padukone starrer big ticket release Happy New Year is slated for 24th October release. Film will release in record number of screens and should be close to 4500 screens in India and 800 plus in overseas market. Advance booking for the film was expected to open on Sunday but there is now change in the plan. On Friday (17th October), YRF sent e - mail to all exhibitors in Mumbai circuit stating that all advance booking of the film should be postponed to Wednesday instead of Sunday. There was no specific reason given for the same. Exhibitors and trade circuit is full of theories for the same. We tried to dig deeper and found that there can be couple of reasons for this change of plan. YRF has still waiting for advance amount from cinemas and that might have forced YRF to take this action as advance can only start once YRF receives the advances from exhibitors. Also increased ticket price can be an issue for few exhibitors and that can also be a bone of contention. Back door discussion should solve these issues by Tuesday and Wednesday will see crazy crowd on counters. But for now fans have to wait for few more days to get the tickets of this much awaited flick.
