HAUNTED WALK THROUGHOUT OCTOBER !!! Tickets sales start at 7:00pm; gate opens for the first group to go through at 7:30pm Here are the dates: Friday & Saturday, October 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 Sunday through Saturday, October 26-31 This is the BEST Halloween fun anywhere! You will have a blast, so put on your best costume, bring friends and have a howling good time. The forest is safe, but our “Freaks of Nature” will definitely give you a fright! Suggested for those age 16 and older. FRIENDLY FOREST Saturday & Sunday, October 25th & 26th 11am – 4pm Safe Tricks & Treats for Kids up to 8 in costume, games and crafts, live animals, sensory fun and more! Wednesday, October 1st 7:00pm Riverwatch Meeting The October 1st Riverwatch meeting at the Calusa Nature Center features Dave Ceilley of FGCU and Johnson Engineering as guest speaker. He will talk about restoring tape grass meadows in the Caloosahatchee. Riverwatch meets every other month at the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium in the Iona House. Meetings are open to the public. Thursday, October 2nd, 7:00pm Calusa Herpetological Society Monthly Meeting Meeting is held in the Iona House. Non-members pay $3 at the door. Dedicated to education, conservation and enjoyment of reptiles and amphibians. Thursday, October 2nd, 6pm Sierra Club Monthly Meeting in Museum Open to the public, inside museum. To explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth. The Calusa Group covers a four county area in SW Florida. Thursday, October 2nd, 7:30pm Southwest Florida Astronomical Society Monthly Meeting Open to the public. Meetings are held in the Planetarium. Formed to educate the public, school children and scouts about the wonders of the night sky.
