DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES Malawi Adventist University is pleased to announce training opportunity for diploma and certificate programmes in September, 2014 tenable at Malamulo College of Health Sciences, its constituent college in Makwasa, Thyolo . 1. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the; Diploma in Biomedical Science (Clinical Laboratory) Diploma in Clinical Medicine Applicants must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with mandatory FOUR credits: Biology, English, Mathematics and Physical Science. 2. Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Technician Applicants must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent preferably with at least THREE credits in science subjects, i.e. credit in either Physical Science or Biology plus two credits from two of the following subjects: Mathematics, Agriculture, Geography, Home Economics. NOTE: if a credit is in either Physical Science or Biology the other subject should have a strong pass of 7 points. 3. Certificate in Clinical Medicine applicants must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with any TWO credits in Biology, Mathematics, Physical Science, Geography, Home Economics, Agriculture and a strong pass in English The Certificate (MSCE) must be obtained in not more than two sittings Fees for these courses are K650,000.00 per year payable in installments of K325,000.00 per semester. CHAM WILL PROVIDE SPONSORSHIP FOR THESE DIPLOMA AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES. However, successful students will be required to make a contribution fee of K100,000.00 per year FOR PRIVATE STUDENTS Evidence of Sponsorship: Applicants are expected to provide written evidence from the sponsoring organization or individual. B. DEGREE PROGRAMMES Malawi Adventist University will have a third intake of Bachelors Degree programmes in September, 2014 tenable at Malamulo College of Health Sciences, its constitutions college in Makwasa, Thyolo. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the: 1. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Sciences (4 years) 2. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Public Health (4 years) Applicants must have a Malawi School Certificate of Education or its equivalent with six credits including Biology, English, Mathematics and Physical Science. The Certificate must be obtained in NOT more than two sittings. At present fees for Bachelors Degree Programmes are at K412,500.00 per semester, thus K825.000.00 per year. Evidence of sponsorship: Applicants are expected to provide written evidence from the sponsoring organization or individuals.
