HAVE YOU MADE YOUR 2014 TAX CREDIT DONATION YET? Youve still got two days to take advantage of this opportunity to reduce your Arizona tax obligation and support Akimel A-al Middle School! The Arizona Tax Credit Program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows Arizona taxpayers to donate up to $400* to a school of their choice in support of extracurricular programs and get their entire donation back in the form of a tax credit. School tax credit donations help us pay for extracurricular activities such as Learning Lab, Lunchtime Homework Club, field trips, arts and music programs, sports, and extracurricular student clubs. Making a “general” donation is especially helpful as it allows us to use the funds where they are most needed. You don’t have to have a child in school to take advantage of this opportunity. You simply must be an Arizona State taxpayer. Please share this information with your relatives, neighbors and friends! Your undesignated donations (those not designated to a specific program) allow the school to use the money where most needed and supports programs such as our daily Learning Lab and Homework Club academic support programs. There are several ways in which you can make your contribution for the 2014 tax year: By mail: You may mail your contribution to Akimel A-al Middle School, Attn: School Secretary, 2720 E. Liberty Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85048. Your envelope must be postmarked by December 31st. On Line: You may make your donation at kyrene.org. Select Akimel A-al Middle School. Kyrene District office: The Kyrene School District office will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on December 31st. The district office is located at 8700 S. Kyrene Road, Tempe, 85284 (NW corner of Warner and Kyrene Roads). AMS Administrative Specialist, Leila Dalton, will be there accepting donations. Stop by and say hello! Individuals and couples filing jointly may take advantage of this tax credit. A maximum of $200 can be deducted per individual tax return, or couples filing a joint return may deduct a maximum of $400 Donations made to General or Undesignated allow the school to use the tax credit donation monies where they can have the best positive impact. Donations designated for Athletics will go to the Kyrene School District Athletic program and must be made separately from donations made to Akimel A-al Middle School.
