The North Little Rock Community Farm is a unique combination of school farm and community garden aimed at making North Little Rock a healthier and more connected community. Located at the North Little Rock High School East Campus and Lakewood Middle School the NLRCF is designed to be an outdoor classroom for students to grow and learn in the areas of arts, math, and science, as well as, an ongoing project to provide students with hands-on experience with community organizing, business operations, and community service. The NLRCF is a space of shared learning and experience where students and community members work and grow together strengthening our local food system. EAST Initiative students and the NLRCF set out to end hunger in North Little Rock starting with the 600+ students in the North Little Rock School District classified as homeless.
