HB managed to bite her tongue during her last barn hunt run this weekend, which was this afternoon. She had successfully found and alerted 3 rats, but I wasnt trusting her easily, because she lied to me a lot this weekend. She seemed to alert on a 4th tube, but I was skeptical, since shed been by it without noticing it a few times, so I thought that was likely an over-excited false alert. And I also noticed at that point that her mouth was full of blood. I wasnt particularly concerned, its not the first time shes bitten her tongue (HB is so fierce, even her own tongue is not safe), but I was worried about her spraying blood around the BH ring, so rather than wait it out, I decided to call it on the 3 rats we had successfully found. Nope, the 4th one WAS a rat. In other news, today, the excited pre-run shrieking was also continued into the run. So I take the leash off, and she runs off squealing and jumping onto bales. Its actually quite hilarious. So far, only for the first few seconds, but I wonder if its going to continue to expand.
