HELLO EVERYONE,PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: We have faced vast number of challenges in the first semester starting from residence allocation, nsfas, withhold of results, evenly not knowing the SRC members facially for examples the crucial portfolio of Res Officer etc...ufh drama society with its mandate of addressing problems and sought to come out with solutions has been concerned about the tune between the SRC and students. We have heard tantrums thrown towards src members, SRC For Management No Longer For Students. we have also spotted that there is no proper Communication between the two spheres, no platforms to engage to discuss izinto ezidla umzi, we have seen that students have so many unanswered questions to the src. Therefore we had to intervene by hosting a show that is about leadership, Please Note: on this show we are going to have an SRC and Student platform, sort of a Mass Meeting. However on this one, everything will be regulated by the drama society, the questions will be regulated by the member of the society, not SRC. You are going to address your problems, and share ideas. the SRC will have to answer. We are not going to tolerate any political tendency or favouritism during the slot, No Credentials to be discussed for hours, No agenda to be adopted or not, but matters that we are facing. This we want to promote a smooth transition between students and the src, promoting accountability, openness and responsibility. From today we atleast provided almost 14 days of notice to you about the initiative. We call upon all students to come and be part of the engagement. Please Note: always with surprises in our shows, there will be also performances as usual such as a play, music, poetry etc. Further Note: Ufh Drama society has also took a step of involving Social work students when its going for community work because we have experienced an emotional situation where when we perform addressing the problems faced the youth/ students we see them broke into tears, we have recognised that counselling will be of cognisance, this also to further train future social workers. We greatly apologise for those who will miss out, especially 2nd year education students who will be on school experience by the 25th of July.
