He Joined in 1979 and quickly learnt to run the compressor, drive the dive boat and organise the club equipment, in fact, do all things mechanical really. He was instrumental in getting rid of our dilapidated inflatable dive boat, the HMS Wetcheck and convinced the Uni to buy the club a new Aluminium Dive Boat. His committee called it Nauseus.... this was the same name used for the following 2 club boats, Nauseus II & III … Tragically, Andrew and his friend & colleague were killed in a helicopter crash in 2012.
