HEY FEMALE BRASS PLAYERS: I am in the process of coming up with a good way to get female brass players interested in Building High Range and Endurance. I am confident that most, if not all female brass players can attain the same powerful high range that many male brass players have. Currently, that is not the case. I dont know if female brass players dont believe they can develop their embouchure to such an extraordinary level or perhaps maybe they are not interested? What we have up until now in the female world of brass players are EXCEPTIONS...a handful of female brass players who CAN demonstrate a decent proficiency in the upper register. However, there are no females doing Maynard Ferguson Tributes or, to my knowledge, I havent heard of one female trumpet player playing a Maynard Ferguson or other high note artist solo. Dont we need to change that? Cant female Brass Players woman up and develop chops of steel just like some of their male counterparts? Again, yes, there are a few female examples out there, but ONLY A FEW AND THATS IT! I am convinced that the typical advanced or pro female trumpet player with a high range of only High D or Eb could add up to 4 notes and more to their high range by participating in my 16 Week Brass Upper Register Program. Am I right or am I wrong? I dont know because very very few females have participated in my course. I would like to find out if my course is successful for women as much as it has been for men. So, stay tuned as I consider some enticing avenues for female brass players to actually WANT to get involved in my upper register course!
